| Self portrait based on famous artwork This is the self portrait assignment I was assigned to do. The famous art work I choice to use was "Crying Girl 1963" by Roy Lichtenstein. As I have said in my artist statement, I enjoy comics. So I thought going for a pop art comic style in the painting would be the best way to portray myself. I used tempera paint and permanent marker in the work. I enjoyed working with the bold lines and colors of the work. |
